The McRae Rally Challenge is back – and this September, Knockhill will once again roar to life with one of the most exciting rally events in the UK. If you’re into fast cars, sideways action, and motorsport legends, this is the event for you.

When and Where Is the McRae Rally Challenge 2025?

Mark your calendar: the McRae Rally Challenge 2025 takes place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September at the iconic Knockhill Racing Circuit in Scotland. Gates open at 8am both days, with the first stages kicking off at 9am on Saturday and 8:30am on Sunday.

What to Expect at McRae Rally Challenge 2025

This year’s event celebrates 50 years of Jimmy McRae behind the wheel and unites three generations of the McRae family – Jimmy, Alister, and Max – for a competitive showdown in a 10-stage rally event.

Main Features:

• 65 rally crews in a special single-venue invitational
• 40+ miles of competitive stage rallying
• Scottish Junior 1000 Rally with drivers aged 14–17
• Slowly Sideways live action – classic Group B and 1990s rally cars on track
